Importing/Exporting Shipping Options
B2B Wave lets you easily import, export, and update custom shipping options based on each option’s rule type. Let’s see how you can do this for each specific type. Read our dedicated article to learn how to create shipping options manually and more details on shipping options rules.
Importing Per Box and Per Box Flat Shipping Options
To import per box and per box flat shipping options, follow these steps:
Step 1. Go to Settings >Shipping οptions and click “+ New shipping option” to create a new option.
Step 2. Fill in the “Name,” “Sales Tax/VAT,” and “Rule Type” fields. Specifically, here, you’ll need to define the following:
Name | Add the shipping option’s name (e.g., Express Delivery) |
Sales Tax | Select a Sales/VAT class from the drop-down menu |
Rule Type | Choose “Per Box” from the drop-down menu |
NOTE: Remember that you do not need to follow Steps 1&2 if you’ve already created the relevant shipping option.
Step 3. Click “Import” to open the “Import shipping options prices” page.
Step 4. Click “Choose File” to upload your file, and click “Import preview.” Remember that your file should be in .xlsx format.
Importantly, your spreadsheet should include the following information and columns.
country | Add the country to which you want to apply this shipping option |
province | Enter the province/state if you want to set different fees for them, if applicable (e.g., California). If the same fee applies per state/province, leave the relevant field blank |
price | Type the fee that applies to each case |
from_quantity | Add the number of packages, after which the set price will apply |
Step 5. Check that you’ve imported all the necessary information for this option on the “Import preview” page, then click “Import.” If you’ve already set fees for it, click “Overwrite existing prices” to update them. Otherwise, leave this box unchecked.
Exporting and Updating Per Box and Per Box Flat Shipping Options
To export and update per box and per box flat shipping options, complete these steps:
Step 1. Go to Settings >Shipping οptions and click the pencil icon next to the shipping option you want to update.
Step 2. Click “Export” on the “Editing shipping option” page to download the spreadsheet.
Step 3. Open the spreadsheet to review the shipping options you’ve set.
The downloaded file includes the following columns:
country | Presents the country to which you want to apply this shipping option |
province | Shows the province/state to which different fees apply, if applicable (e.g., California). The cell will be empty if the same fee applies per state/province |
price | Corresponds to the fee that applies to each case |
from_quantity | Reflects the number of packages, after which the set price will apply |
Step 4. Make changes to the exported file if you want to update shipping fees. Then, go to Settings >Shipping οptions, and click the shipping option you wish to update.
Step 5. Click “Import” to open the “Import shipping options prices” page, select “Choose File” to upload your file, and click “Import preview.” Remember that your file should be in .xlsx format.
Step 6. Check the updated information on the “Import preview” page, then click “Import.” Remember to check “Overwrite existing prices” to update existing fees.
Importing Per Weight Shipping Options
To import per weight shipping options, follow these steps:
Step 1. Go to Settings >Shipping options and click “+ New shipping option” to create a new option.
Step 2. Fill in the “Name,” “Sales Tax/VAT,” and “Rule Type” fields, as described above.
NOTE: Remember that you can skip Steps 1&2 if you’ve already created the relevant shipping option.
Step 3. Click “Import” to open the “Import shipping options prices” page. Click “Choose File” to upload your file, and click “Import preview.” Remember that your file should be in .xlsx format.

To export per weight shipping options, complete these steps:

To import per item quantity and per item quantity flat shipping options, follow these steps:

Step 4. Make changes to the exported file if you want to update the existing fees. Then, go to Settings >Shipping options, and click the shipping options you wish to update.
Step 5. Click “Import” to open the “Import shipping options prices” page, select “Choose File” to upload your file, and click “Import preview.” Remember that your file should be in .xlsx format.
Step 6. Check the updated information on the “Import preview” page, then click “Import.” Remember to check “Overwrite existing prices” to update existing fees.
Importing Per Order Net Value Shipping Options
To import per order net value shipping options, complete these steps:
Step 1. Go to Settings >Shipping options and click “+ New shipping option” to create a new option.
Step 2. Fill in the “Name,” “Sales Tax/VAT,” and “Rule Type” fields, as described above.
NOTE: Remember that you can skip Steps 1&2 if you’ve already created the relevant shipping option.
Step 3. Click “Import” to open the “Import shipping options prices” page. Click “Choose File” to upload your file, and click “Import preview.” Remember that your file should be in .xlsx format.
Importantly, your spreadsheet should include the following information and columns.

price_percentage | Enter a value if you want to apply an upcharge percentage, if applicable. Remember that it is calculated on the order’s net worth. Otherwise, leave the cell blank. |
price | Type the fee that applies to each case if you want to set a flat fee added to the order’s net worth, if applicable. Otherwise, leave the cell blank. |
from_order_value | Add the net order value, after which the flat fee OR the percentage markup applies |
Step 4. Check that you’ve imported all the necessary information for this option on the “Import preview” page, then click “Import.” If you’ve already set fees for it, click “Overwrite existing prices” to update them. Otherwise, leave this box unchecked.
Exporting and Updating Per Order Net Value Shipping Options
To export and update per order net value shipping options, complete these steps:
Step 1. Go to Settings >Shipping options and click the pencil icon next to the shipping option you want to update.
Step 2. Click “Export” on the “Editing shipping option” page to download the spreadsheet.
Step 3. Open the spreadsheet to review the shipping options you’ve set.
The downloaded file includes the following columns:
country | Shows the country to which you want to apply this shipping option |
province | Presents the province/state if you want to set different fees for them, if applicable (e.g., California). If the same fee applies per state/province, this will be blank |
price_percentage | Refers to the upcharge percentage you’ve set for each case, if applicable. This cell will be empty if you haven’t set a percentage upcharge |
price | Shows the flat fee that applies to each case, if applicable. This cell will be empty if you haven’t set a percentage upcharge |
from_order_value | Corresponds to the net order value, after which the flat fee OR the percentage markup applies |
Step 4. Make changes to the exported file if you want to update existing fees. Then, go to Settings >Shipping options, and click the shipping options you wish to update.
Step 5. Click “Import” to open the “Import shipping options prices” page, select “Choose File” to upload your file, and click “Import preview.” Remember that your file should be in .xlsx format.
Step 6. Check the updated information on the “Import preview” page, then click “Import.” Remember to check “Overwrite existing prices” to update existing fees.
Importing No Rule Shipping Options
To import no rule shipping options, follow these steps:
Step 1. Go to Settings >Shipping οptions and click “+ New shipping option” to create a new option.
Step 2. Fill in the “Name,” “Sales Tax/VAT,” and “Rule Type” fields, as described above.
NOTE: Remember that you can skip Steps 1&2 if you’ve already created the relevant shipping option.
Step 3. Click “Import” to open the “Import shipping options prices” page. Click “Choose File” to upload your file, and click “Import preview.” Remember that your file should be in .xlsx format.

To export and update no rule shipping options, complete these steps:
Step 1. Go to Settings >Shipping οptions and click the pencil icon next to the shipping option you want to update.
Step 2. Click “Export” on the “Editing shipping option” page to download the spreadsheet.
Step 3. Open the spreadsheet to review the shipping options you’ve set.
The downloaded file includes the following columns:

from_quantity | Showcases the value “0” as this οption is not dependent on a specific ordered quantity |
Step 4. Make changes to the exported file if you want to update existing fees. Next, go to Settings >Shipping options, and click the shipping options you wish to update.
Step 5. Click “Import” to open the “Import shipping options prices” page, select “Choose File” to upload your file, and click “Import preview.” Remember that your file should be in .xlsx format.
