Admin Login and Password Reset

This article will walk you through how to log in to your B2B Wave account, troubleshoot potential login issues, and reset or change your password.

Logging in to Your Admin Account

To start setting up your B2B eCommerce platform, you must first log in to your account. To do so, follow these steps:

Step 1. Type in your account’s URL on your browser. Check that you’re using the correct URL to log in to your account (e.g., wholesaledemo.b2bwave.com/users/sign_in). Note that this address differs from the one your customers use to connect to your online B2B store. 

Step 2. Make sure that you’re seeing the Administrator Login page. Now, type the email address of your account and password.

Troubleshooting Login Error Messages

You may encounter some issues when attempting to log in to your account. Let’s check the usual error messages that may appear and see what you can do to resolve them. 

Error message What to do
Invalid email or password
Check that you entered your email and password correctly and that you haven’t used any extra spaces before or after them
Multiple login attempts detected. Please try again in a few hours or contact the administrator to request a password reset Ask another admin user to reset your failed login attempts. To reset failed logins for other account users, the admin needs to:
1. Go to  Settings >Profile >Advanced and click “Failed logins”
2. On the “Failed logins” page, click “Reset failed logins”
If you’re the only admin usercontact our support team to reset the failed login attempts. 

Resetting A Forgotten Password

If you can’t log in to your account and you need to reset a forgotten password, complete these steps:

Step 1. Go to the Administrator Login page and click “Forgot password?”

Step 2. Type your email address and click “Reset password.” You’ll receive an email shortly after you do this with reset instructions. 

Step 3. Open the email and click the “Set my password and login” link. You’ll be prompted to create and confirm a new password by typing it anew. Once ready, click “Set my password and login” to access your store.

Changing An Existing Password

To change your current password, you need to:

Step 1. Log in to your B2B Wave account.

Step 2. Click on your profile icon at the top right of your screen. Next, click “Edit password & email.” Alternatively, you can go to Settings >Edit password.

Step 3. Enter your new password in the “Password” and “Password confirmation” fields. Then, type in your existing password in the “Current password” field and click “Update” to change your login details.
