Mailchimp Integration

Through our integration with Mailchimp, you can add your B2B Wave customers to your Mailchimp audiences. The connection is a one-way connection from B2B Wave to Mailchimp, which means that you should delete and edit contacts through the Mailchimp “Audiences” menu. This article presents how to set up Mailchimp on your B2B Wave eCommerce platform.

Connecting Mailchimp with your B2B Wave Account

To set up the Mailchimp integration, follow these steps:

Step 1. Contact our support team to activate Mailchimp for your account.

Step 2. Login to Mailchimp. Go to your Account icon and select “Profile.” Then, look for the “Extras” tab and click “API Keys.”

Step 3. Go to the “Your API Keys” section and click “Create New Key.” Once you generate a key, verify its active status and save it.

Step 4. Login to B2B Wave, go to Settings >Profile, and look for the “Integrations” tab.

Step 5. Enter the API Key you generated in the “API Key*” field, click “Test Connection” to ensure that the information you’ve added is correct, and then “Save.”

Step 6. Go back to Mailchimp, double-click the “API Key” field, and scroll to the far right. The API Key characters farthest to the right are not visible from the Mailchimp API menu.

Exporting Audiences to Mailchimp

After successfully connecting your account to Mailchimp, you can create and export audiences for Mailchimp. Let’s see how you can do this.

Step 1. Go to Email marketing on your Admin Panel and click “Export to Mailchimp.”

Step 2. Create your audience by selecting the “Create a new Audience” option, then enter your new audience name and a default subject in the appropriate fields.

NOTE: If you already have an Audience set up in Mailchimp, select “Use One of your existing audiences.” Then choose the audience you want to export contacts for.

Step 3. Go to the “Select customers” section and search for the customers you want to add to Mailchimp. You can look them up by company activity, country, and price list. Once you’ve selected your search parameters, click search to display your contacts. Then, choose which customers you want to add to your list by clicking “Add selected to list,” or you can add them all by clicking “Add ALL to list.” Finally, you can edit out customers by selecting them and using “Remove from list.”

Step 4. Click “Export to Mailchimp” under the “Confirm and Export” section. You may have hit your audience limit in MailChimp if you see an error message when creating a new audience. You’ll need to upgrade to a paid MailChimp subscription to generate more than one audience.

Step 5. To view or edit your audience, go to Mailchimp and click the “Audience” menu. You can select which audience you want to edit from the “Current audience” drop-down menu by clicking “Manage audience” and choosing the appropriate action.
